Now That I Have Become a Woman, I Am a Vtuber - Chapter 57
After Stream - 2“Hmm… How long do we have to keep doing this?”
“Until I’m satisfied?”
With that, Miro rested her chin on my shoulder.
Even though I’m taller, it feels oddly uncomfortable being in her arms.
It’s not like my heart is racing or I’m embarrassed just because I’m in the arms of an adult woman.
I’ve been living in a woman’s body for quite some time now, so I’m more than used to it by this point.
There’s no reason for me to blush anymore.
“By the way, when’s the delivery coming?”
“Since it’s dinnertime, it might take a while.”
“Really? Can I watch TV?”
“Yes, you can turn it on.”
There was a huge TV in the living room that Manager Kim had splurged on, so I turned it on.
“When are your parents coming back?”
“They’re going to be away for a while, so they’ll be back the day after tomorrow.”
Since they spent quite a bit to send them on vacation, they’re probably having a great time enjoying their hotel stay.
“Hmm, should I stay over then?”
Upon hearing that her parents wouldn’t be back until the day after tomorrow, Anna hesitated for a moment before casually suggesting it.
“I don’t mind. We can lay out blankets in the living room.”
“Really? I was just throwing the idea out there.”
“Well, since we’re already having dinner together, why don’t we all stay the night?”
The food delivery was going to take a while anyway, and it’d be easier to stay over and go home in the morning than to head back late at night.
I made the suggestion, especially since some of our group lived far away.
“Is that so? Then, I’ll really stay.”
“Then let’s all go to the convenience store later and grab some snacks.”
“Wow, it feels like we’re on a retreat.”
And so, it was decided that the whole group would stay the night.
We gathered around and watched TV.
“There’s nothing to watch.”
Maybe because it was an odd time? There wasn’t much on any of the channels, so as I flipped through them, Haru spoke up.
“Should we play a board game instead?”
“A board game?”
“Yeah, I brought one.”
Haru ran to the living room and brought back a pile of board games.
“I played these at a board game café with friends before, and they were pretty fun.”
“That’s quite a lot, huh?”
“Because there are so many of us!”
I thought it might actually be harder to play with a lot of people, but Haru probably knew more about board games than I did.
“I’ll explain all the rules.”
The board games Haru brought ranged from famous ones everyone’s played at least a few times in their lives to ones I had never heard of.
“What should we start with?”
“Let’s start with something familiar and quick.”
We played board games while waiting for the delivery, and it turned out to be quite fun. Of course, no one could outmatch the life experience and sharp instincts of 42-year-old Kim Suhyun.
“Why are you so good at this?”
“Have you played this before?”
“I’m just a natural.”
“Wow…”
While I was almost steamrolling the others, except for Haru, who was more familiar with board games, the delivery food arrived right on time.
“It’s here!”
“Get Boksil away from the food!”
“Shouldn’t we give Boksil a snack?”
“He already had dinner earlier.”
Amid the commotion, we received the delivery food and spread it out in the living room.
“Wow, try this.”
“This is amazing.”
Since it was the first time I’d ordered delivery since coming back home, I savored it. I hadn’t realized how good delivery food could be. I didn’t appreciate it as much back when I ordered it frequently, but eating it after a while made me realize there’s nothing quite like it.
As I was munching on the food in front of me, Loa sidled up next to me.
“Miro.”
“Yeah?”
“Why did you fail the other mission?”
Oh, was she curious about that?
As a band member who could probably play the guitar well, it made sense that Loa would wonder why I hadn’t managed to complete a single song in a month.
“Oh, I got stuck at about 90%.”
“That’s a shame. You almost finished.”
“Yeah, the song was a bit difficult.”
That’s true.
I got stuck at 90% and didn’t really practice beyond that.
“I want to see you play it sometime.”
“Shall I? There’s a guitar here.”
“Yeah, I saw it in the room earlier.”
She noticed that? It was tucked away in a corner.
Then again, she spent about four hours in there, so of course, she’d notice.
“Okay, I’ll grab it after we finish eating.”
“Sure, I’ll play too.”
“Really?”
“Of course.”
Loa playing the guitar… I was curious.
What if she’s surprisingly bad? That would be hilarious.
After we ate most of the delivery food, I brought the guitar from my room, and Loa narrowed her eyes at it.
“What’s wrong?”
“I didn’t get a good look at it earlier, but it’s really a budget guitar, huh?”
“You can tell?”
“Of course. Once you start earning money, buy a more expensive one.”
“Haha, I bought this as a beginner’s guitar, but I plan on upgrading.”
I realized after playing Kanghyuk’s guitar at Hyunsoo’s studio that good gear makes a big difference in music.
Just as I was about to start playing the guitar, a voice came from the others who were still eating in the living room behind me and Loa.
“Isn’t that person pretty famous these days?”
“I saw him on Shorts too.”
“He’s good-looking.”
“Gasp, unnie, he’s a minor!”
“Oh, cancel that.”
At the mention of his age, Anna flinched and immediately retracted her comment.
Well, Anna’s at the age where she’d be sensitive about things like that.
“Who could it be that’s causing such a stir?”
I twisted my body slightly and turned my gaze.
The interview was just starting, and a young man with full blond hair and sharp, striking features sat down in the chair.
“Miro, you know him, right? Slim Gold. I mentioned him before.”
“Oh, yeah. I remember.”
Why is Hyunsoo… No, no. I quickly glanced at the name of the variety show.
It was one of those popular observational reality shows that follow a celebrity’s daily life. What timing…
Hyunsoo did mention it would air this week, but I didn’t realize it was today.
I’m the kind of person who doesn’t even watch my own YouTube channel videos because I get too embarrassed.
There’s no way I would have planned to watch the live broadcast, even if I knew it was coming.
On TV, Hyunsoo was giving an interview about his album production, while the panelists watching commented on it.
“[Slim Gold must be really popular at school.]”
“[Huh? Haha, no, not really.]”
“[Hahaha! I bet you are.]”
“[No, seriously. I’m not popular at all. I don’t even have many friends.]”
“Wow, he’s so humble.”
“Right? Even in fan stories, he’s always described as being really nice,” Anna said while watching TV, and Maho, who listens to Slim Gold’s music often, immediately chimed in.
Well, he’s definitely nice, but humble… I’m not so sure about that.
“[Let’s take a look at how he spends his day.]”
The screen switched, transitioning from the studio to Hyunsoo’s workspace.
“[Do you stay here a lot?]”
“[Yeah, I usually live in the studio when I’m working.]”
Inside the studio, Hyunsoo and the band members were chatting away.
It felt strange to see the people I knew in real life on screen.
Around this point, I figured it was about time I stopped watching.
I wasn’t sure how much screen time I’d get, but surely, I’d show up sooner or later, even if it was just for a moment.
“Uh, mind if I change the channel? There’s a channel I need to check out.”
I put the guitar down and casually moved to grab the remote, but before I could switch it, Haru quickly blocked my hand.
“What are you trying to watch? The news doesn’t even air at this time,” Haru said with a grin.
“Uh, well, that’s…”
I didn’t expect her to actually stop me. Were they all really enjoying this?
I glanced around, and all five women were staring at my hand.
“Uh… never mind…”
Come to think of it, Hyunsoo is a young, handsome, rising singer.
Of course, these girls would be interested.
I mean, I figured they’d watch it eventually since it’s a variety show, but I didn’t think it would be today.
Now that it’s come to this, I decided to just sit back and watch Hyunsoo’s day unfold.
On the screen, the band members stepped out to grab some food, and the camera shifted.
The scene changed from Hyunsoo’s studio to the street in front of it, capturing the back of a woman entering the building.
“Whoa, is that his girlfriend?”
“No way. He’s still building his fanbase. I doubt he’d introduce her publicly.”
“She’s probably someone from the band.”
“What do you think a band member is exactly?”
As I listened to their chatter, I mentally noted what had been edited out. When I arrived, there were quite a few staff members in front of the studio, but thanks to camera angles and editing, it looked like an empty street.
[Oh? Who could that be?]
[Wow, just from her silhouette, she looks like a celebrity.]
The panelists commented on the young woman appearing after Ahyoung, as the screen shifted back to the studio, showing her pulling a cap down low over her face at the coat rack.
Looks like they cut out the conversation before I put on the cap.
The woman, now fully disguised, sat next to Hyunsoo, and they started talking. The footage showed that much before I glanced around again.
Everyone in the room was staring at me now, their eyes glued not to the TV, but to me.
Even Loa, who was behind me, was watching.
It was… a bit overwhelming.
Just then, Haru, who had been staring intensely, suddenly stood up and ran to the living room.
Curious, I watched as she quickly grabbed a hat and, in an instant, plopped it onto my head.
“You—You?!”
Seeing Haru’s shock, I nonchalantly replied,
“Hmm, should I get you an autograph?”
The room instantly erupted into chaos.
