Now That I Have Become a Woman, I Am a Vtuber - Chapter 148
Japan (4)The cold air.
Even at this late hour, occasional voices filled the streets.
Flickering neon signs illuminated parts of the quiet night.
It looked similar to Korea at first glance, but walking through the foreign streets brought a distinct excitement.
“It’s chilly,” Sake-san commented, hugging her coat closer.
“Really? It’s warmer than back home,” I replied.
I glanced at her, wondering how this night felt from her perspective.
To her, wasn’t this just another regular street? Like my casual walks to a Korean convenience store late at night?
“Wait, Korea is colder?”
“Yeah, but it’s less humid in the summer.”
She nodded, absorbing the information. As for me, I wondered what it would be like to live in Japan for a month.
Not too long—just enough to savor this unique feeling without letting it fade.
“So… can I start the stream now?”
“Hai!”
After walking for a bit, I figured it was time to start. We were near a park—perfect for a short stream and stroll.
With a few taps, I set up my phone and began broadcasting.
[Stream Title: “Quick Update During Vacation”]
- ???
- What?
- A stream at this hour?
- Is this real?
The chat exploded with confused viewers as the notification went out.
“Hey, everyone. Long time no see!”
- !!!!!!!
- I love you, Miro!
- You’re the best for streaming!
“You’re all so quick to join. Don’t you have work tomorrow?”
- You jerk, this is your fault.
- I didn’t get a job just for this. Take responsibility!
- Why are you hitting us with that?
“You all seem lively as usual.”
I chuckled, showing the chat to Sake-san. She leaned in, eyes wide with curiosity.
“Ooooh…”
- ???
- Who’s that?
- New friend reveal??
“Hey, don’t talk!” I whispered, but it was too late.
Her voice had already sparked a buzz in the chat.
- Is it Tenshi?
- New member?
- MiRo has friends??
“She’s just someone I met in Japan. I’m staying at her place for the night.”
- Ultimate extrovert move.
- We’re jealous.
- You’re flexing now, huh?
At that, Sake-san looked puzzled.
“Only one night?”
“Well, I didn’t want to impose.”
“You can stay longer if you’d like.”
Hearing her offer, I turned back to the chat.
“Looks like I’m welcome to stay another night!”
- Wow.
- She speaks Korean so well!
- Miro doesn’t even need hotels anymore.
I kept the stream focused on the park’s scenery, occasionally showing bits of the area as we walked.
Sake-san stayed quiet, observing the process. Her curiosity seemed genuine, and she didn’t want to interrupt.
“How’s the park? Pretty nice, right?”
- Meh, it’s fine.
- Looks like a normal park.
- Are we supposed to be impressed?
“Hey, everything feels fresh when you’re in another country!”
The chat continued to poke fun until a donation came in.
[Donation: 1,000 KRW]
“This is great, no stupid games tonight!”
- HAHAHAHAHA
- Thank God, no Three Kingdoms nonsense.
- Please do more outdoor streams.
“Oh, really? Do I need to remind you of yesterday’s tantrum about wanting gameplay?”
- That was then, this is now.
- No one likes Three Kingdoms anyway.
- Shut up and keep showing the park!
Their cheeky comments made me smirk. I decided to give them a little surprise.
The park’s streetlights illuminated a cluster of bugs drawn to the light.
Without hesitation, I brought my phone closer to show the bugs on stream.
- AHHHHHHH
- NOOOOO
- You monster!
- Miro, what the heck?!
“Oops! Was that too gross? My bad.”
- Are you serious?!
- Apologize RIGHT NOW.
- I hate this so much.
“Want me to do it again?”
- DON’T YOU DARE.
- We surrender.
- You’re insane.
I laughed as the chat begged for mercy. Sake-san, standing nearby, was staring at me with a mix of curiosity and disbelief.
“Uh… this isn’t what my streams are usually like, I swear.”
“It’s okay… it’s fun to watch.”
Her soft laugh made me realize how absurd my antics must seem. Maybe I’d overdone it.
After the park, I suggested heading to a convenience store. Sake-san pointed out one nearby, and we made our way there.
“Any recommendations?”
“This, and this one too!”
Following her advice, I grabbed a few snacks and fried chicken skewers. I showed them off to the stream as we left.
“Behold, Japanese convenience store fried chicken. Isn’t it beautiful?”
- Ooh, looks good.
- Why are YOU eating it? Give us some!
- Isn’t it just the same as Korea?
I took a bite, savoring the warm, crispy flavor in the cold night air.
“Sure, it’s similar. But there’s something special about eating it here, under these streetlights.”
Sake-san also seemed to enjoy her snack, nodding contentedly as she ate.
While I was about to wrap up the stream, my phone buzzed. It was a call from Tenshi-san.
“Oh no, I think she woke up,” I muttered to Sake-san, showing her the screen.
She nodded and quickly dialed Tenshi-san to explain. Moments later, I saw a small figure sprinting towards us.
“You two left me behind?!”
Tenshi-san’s pout was enough to make me feel a little guilty.
“You were sleeping so soundly! I didn’t want to wake you.”
“Still, you should’ve asked me!”
As she continued to complain, I handed her a sweet bun I’d bought at the convenience store.
“…What’s this?”
“Something sweet. Eat it, and let’s go for another round in the park.”
And with that, the three of us wandered the park together, the night deepening around us.
A few days later, I returned to Korea, feeling refreshed from the trip.
As I settled into my soundproof booth and checked the monitor, a notification caught my eye.
[Official Announcement: Celestial Project 2nd-Gen Debut Schedule & Group Song Release]
Even after a vacation, there was no time to rest. Big things were on the horizon.
