Thursday, November 24.

Vtopia, which had garnered much anticipation, finally took its first proper step.

As Frika transitioned to a 4-member system, it was in the midst of internal turmoil, attracting the most attention from b*tt picking viewers.

Moreover, just look at the presence of Yuseona lurking behind the scenes.

She used her connections to bring in Buck Minam Park Bong-sik, known as the king of Pangea TV, as a judge.

In the eyes of those without any connections like Decrescendo, Pocotin, or V-Live, it was inevitably discouraging.

“But Vtopia won’t be all smooth sailing. There’s a critical flaw.”

This isn’t just a childish claim made out of a desire not to lose.

Vtopia’s critical flaw… is that the establishment of the crew has come too late.

They have only just selected candidates, and there are still the 1st and 2nd auditions left; how long will it take to select the final 7 candidates?

By the time all that is done, it will probably be at least mid-December.

“Will the existing virtual crews just sit idly by until then?”

I previously mentioned that Pangea TV’s virtual pie has its limits.

Virtual streaming has yet to gain mainstream recognition even in the minor genre of internet broadcasts.

How many viewers prioritize virtual streaming over other genres at Pangea TV during this time?

Even though the Ugaidol Audition exceeded 20,000 viewers, it would be a mistake to assume that all those numbers are fans of virtual streaming.

As seen from Sayoh’s usual broadcasting status, roughly 5,000 were his fans, while about half of the remaining numbers can be considered transient viewers attracted by the popularity of the content at that time.

Once excluding them, we can conclude that the number of pure fans of virtual broadcasts, including b*tt picking viewers, is at best around 7,000 to 8,000.

In reality, after all major events like the Ugaidol Audition pass and the viewer count for the virtual broadcasting category is tallied, that is what it comes down to.

Given this reality, I’m pointing out that Vtopia’s debut is far too late.

The pool of pure virtual viewers is at most below 10,000.

Almost a substantial portion of them are active b*tt pickers, while conversely, many virtual fans have already chosen their main bases.

They are consuming the virtual pie of Frika, Decrescendo, Lena Universe, Pocotin, and V-Live.

Even if Vtopia makes a glamorous debut, nearly nothing will be left on the table.

Feeling a sense of crisis, Yuseona utilizes her connections to arrange collaborations with major company streamers one after the other.

Despite trying to revitalize Vtopia by generating buzz, unfortunately, she encounters an enormous setback.

That setback is the emergence of Lena World, which started its service.

The collaboration with the major company streamers was momentary, and Lena World has continuously devoured all the buzz within Pangea TV.

There was nowhere to escape the sphere of influence from it, except for the League of Legends panel.

Honestly, even the League panel suffered significant viewer losses, and no matter how successful Yuseona, it was akin to battling a crab with a torch.

“Yuseona is quite something, but to open a Minecraft server as a solution?”

Is it an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth?

To escape from the influence of Lena World, Yuseona chose to open a Minecraft server to counter Lena World.

I know about this well as I followed Lucy to Pangea TV around this time before the regression.

This was the peak era for Pangea TV-related galleries.

The Gold Cup was held almost daily.

Galleries were divided into dozens based on their respective powers.

Crew fans fought, clashed over the Minecraft servers, battled over the server master position, contended through viewership contests, clashed over candy sponsorships, and competed over viewer numbers…

I thought this was an arena, not a gallery.

It was fortunate that Punbagal was a well-managed place.

During this period, many galleries exploded because Joo-Ddak and Pa-Ddak had fans supporting different servers.

“Looking at this, Yuseona is truly ruthless. She wears a mask pretending not to be like that.”

Personally, I felt that while Lena Land was the openly troublesome child, Yuseona was more of the type who wore a mask and pretended with her hypocrisy.

In fact, it’s rather hard to criticize that, as everyone wears a mask while conducting their business.

Perhaps it’s a natural demeanor as a professional.

In contrast, Lena Land, unable to handle that properly, despite successfully launching the monumental Minecraft server Lena World, walked a path close to failure as a streamer while shouldering all sorts of stigma.

“There’s no need to inject unnecessary empathy. Both are simply doing well in life.”

Let’s take care of our crew.

As I mentioned earlier, although being first in the market before Vtopia is a good sign, we can’t let our guard down as formidable competitors are lurking by our side.

“If the Pocotin Crew were to collapse, they would naturally quiet down for a while. Moreover, Lena Land dislikes Orikung, making it impossible for them to enter Lena World.”

It doesn’t matter how well the previous virtual scene was doing.

After December, Pangea TV’s virtual scene will divide into those who entered Lena World and those who didn’t.

In such a harsh reality, even Hyori from the Pocotin Crew lowered her pride to post a comment applying to recruit additional members for Lena World.

Even though she knew what treatment her close sister and crew leader Orikung was receiving from Lena Land.

I don’t know what discussions took place internally, but in the end, she deleted her comment, giving up.

That incident alone made the gallery noisy all day long.

The Pocotin fans fought among themselves, claiming that Hyori suffered because of Orikung.

The influence of Lena World was emphasized to such an extent that episodes like this happened frequently.

“So Decrescendo is even more problematic. Despite the crew’s collapse, they’ve still maintained significant influence within Lena World.”

They overcame the situation with the already gained recognition and powerful individual skills.

While one might want to applaud such determination, unfortunately, that couldn’t happen.

The ever-diminishing pool of the already small virtual pie.

There simply isn’t enough absolute quantity to share amicably or concede large portions.

“The 720p incident and Lena World aren’t the end; hence, the urgency.”

If Decrescendo were the final boss, then we could face them with some leeway.

They are indeed impressive, but there are clear limits regarding scale.

In the narrow virtual realm of Pangea TV, growing beyond a certain size is impossible.

“But then, the final bosses appear…”

With LebitTV Korea shutting down its service, the great era of virtual streamers begins once again.

Unlike the narrow virtual realm of Pangea TV, massive, towering monsters have grown in far larger markets.

Even without major company virtual streamer crews, many virtual streamers have four-digit viewer counts.

While the existing Pangea TV virtuals were pondering “Whoa?” the great invasive species rushed in and crushed them with size.

b*tt pickers rather preferred them while crying out for “New Girls.”

“To avoid such a fate, one must build up scale in advance.”

To compete with the massive invasive species of LebitTV, the average viewer count must be made four digits.

Only then, when facing them, we can boldly state our stance without losing momentum.

The same goes for buzz within the community.

Thus, it’s impossible to readily hand over virtual pies to competitors, including Decrescendo.

It may come off as greedy, but I had to greedily consume as much as possible to boost our scale.

“So? What do you want to eat for lunch tomorrow?”

“No, not that kind of scale…”

I awkwardly changed the subject.

Ah, I let my mind wander while on the call and made a slip.

Tomorrow marks a rare break day.

I made lunch plans with Lucy.

I’m going to collect Lucy’s red medicine tomorrow.
