Since I Became a Woman, I’ll Do Cosplay - Chapter 83

Battle for Leadership, Part 1

“Are you hungry? Want some ramen?”

After hearing Hong Seo-hyun’s offer, Hayoon’s response was already decided.

“No, I should head home.”

It was already 8 PM. She had school tomorrow, and she wasn’t keen on having ramen for two meals in a row. She politely declined and prepared to leave. She hadn’t brought much, so packing was quick. Just her cardigan and phone.

“My mom insists on making me at least one meal a day.”

“Oh, well, can’t argue with that.”

Hong Seo-hyun sighed, a little disappointed that her ramen diplomacy hadn’t worked.

She followed Hayoon to the door. They stood facing each other at the entrance, one ready to leave, the other to see her off.

It felt like a typical after-work farewell. After a bit more back and forth.

“Oh…?”

“Uh…”

“Ah, hello…?”

“H-Hello… you must be Hayoon’s friend…?”

They had lingered too long. They ran into a middle-aged woman who looked vaguely familiar.

Hayoon was taken aback. The woman, standing across from them, said.

“Since we’ve met, why don’t you have dinner with us? It’s the first time my daughter has brought a friend home.”

“Ah, I’m her junior, but…”

“One year apart? You’re friends.”

She took Hayoon’s arm and led her back inside. Well, “led” wasn’t quite right; Hayoon couldn’t refuse the older woman.

“Um… could I call my mom first? It’s getting late…”

“Of course, of course. Don’t worry; I’ll feed you well before sending you home.”

“Okay…”

Hayoon stepped outside and called Yoon Su-hee from the stairwell. The phone rang a few times before being answered.

-Where are you?

“Mom, I’m at my senior’s house. Remember, I said I was helping her with her stream?”

-Right. So? Why aren’t you home yet? What kind of stream lasts ten hours?

“W-Well, not ten, about eight…”

-Oh, really?

Yoon Su-hee’s initial annoyance softened when she heard the stream had lasted eight hours.

-So? It’s over now?

“Yes, but…”

-But?

“Her mother wants me to stay for dinner…”

-Have dinner there? I made cheonggukjang with pork belly.

“Ahaha, she insisted…”

-Hmm…

Yoon Su-hee’s voice trailed off, a hint of disappointment. Hayoon just chuckled nervously. After a moment of tense silence.

-Fine. It’s just next door. Have dinner, but come home right after.

“Yes, Mom.”

-You’re only obedient when you need something.

Yoon Su-hee grumbled, but her tone lacked any real anger. It was just a mother’s playful complaint.

-Be home before 10. A young girl shouldn’t be out late. Understand?

“Yes!”

-Alright, I’m hanging up.

With a final word of caution, she hung up.

“Whew… one hurdle cleared…”

Hayoon shivered, relieved to have her mother’s permission. Persuading Yoon Su-hee was always nerve-wracking. Dealing with parents was always stressful.

Now then…

“Let’s have dinner. I wonder what we’ll talk about…”

It was time to go back to Hong Seo-hyun’s apartment, have dinner, and deal with the two of them.

Hayoon, a mix of anticipation and apprehension swirling within her, rang the doorbell. The aroma of grilling meat wafted from inside.

After enjoying the delicious meal prepared by Hong Seo-hyun’s mother, Hayoon sipped the quince tea she had been served and explained Hong Seo-hyun’s Vtuber streaming to her.

She had briefly met her when they signed the Vtuber contract, but it wasn’t enough to fully explain the concept. Hayoon diligently explained everything she knew, like providing after-sales service.

“Haaa, finally…”

“Sorry, sorry, my mom can be a bit talkative…”

They finally left just before 10 PM. Hong Seo-hyun chuckled, as if she hadn’t expected her mother to be so talkative.

It was a rare opportunity to see Hayoon flustered and rambling.

“But you know… you’re really weak around older women.”

She nudged Hayoon playfully.

“I’m not weak around older women, I’m respectful to those older than my parents. It’s called manners.”

Hayoon retorted, a hint of annoyance in her voice. After all.

“Hey, hey…!”

“If I were really weak around older women, do you think I’d do this twice?”

“Geez…”

As if to tease Hong Seo-hyun, Hayoon slipped her hand under her skirt and grabbed her butt, just like she did on the bed a few hours ago.

Hong Seo-hyun was taken by surprise, but Hayoon was already running towards the intercom.

Realizing she couldn’t catch up, Hong Seo-hyun pouted, letting out a cute sound of frustration. It was pointless to chase her.

It would be too much to retaliate by slipping her hand into Hayoon’s sweatpants.

“Just you wait…”

Tomorrow, when she was wearing her school uniform skirt, would be Hayoon’s day of reckoning. Hong Seo-hyun steeled her resolve, vowing revenge.

The next day arrived. It was judgment day for Hong Seo-hyun.

‘That butt… I’ll get you back…’

The memory of last night’s humiliation made her blush.

A burning desire for revenge, typical of a teenage girl, fueled her determination. Her eyes darted around, searching for her prey.

“There!”

“Coming.”

She soon spotted Hayoon. Poker face. Poker face. Hong Seo-hyun chanted internally, using the expression control she’d practiced for streaming.

As expected, Hayoon suspected nothing.

She hadn’t yet realized the predator lurking within Hong Seo-hyun.

‘Just you wait…’

Despite her calm exterior, Hong Seo-hyun’s eyes kept glancing at Hayoon’s shapely behind. One grab was all it would take to avenge last night’s humiliation. But.

‘I’m a gentleman.’

She wouldn’t resort to such indecent behavior as grabbing her junior’s butt in public. So…

“Let’s take a picture. Look here.”

“Huh? A picture? Now?”

“Smile. Smile.”

She took a picture of Hayoon’s current happy expression to compare it with the dejected one she’d have later, after the revenge. The perfect setup.

“Hehehe…”

“…?”

Hong Seo-hyun chuckled to herself, anticipating the moment of sweet revenge.

She had to suppress the urge to grope Hayoon on the bus ride to school. Finally, arriving early at the empty club room.

“Ugh, I’m so sick of this school. I have nothing to do here.”

Hayoon complained about having nothing to do besides drawing new outfits and hairstyles for Scarlet and working on her Patreon illustrations.

The workaholic was checking her hair in the mirror.

Hayoon had become a natural woman. It had become a habit to constantly adjust herself to look her best.

“Gotcha!”

“Wh-What the…”

“Did you think I’d forget about yesterday?”

Hong Seo-hyun seized the opportunity, pushing Hayoon against the mirror, slipping her hand under her skirt, and grabbing her plump behind.

“I’ll keep kneading you until you’re a mess…!”

“H-Hey…!”

It was the beginning of a long and bitter struggle for dominance that would continue for years to come.

Neither of them realized how far their playful antics had escalated.

By the time they did, much would have changed.
