When VTubers collaborate, one of the most common types of content is answering questions to get to know each other. Today, we started with that as usual. However, the biggest issue is of course the language barrier, which makes communication tricky. That’s why I introduced a system using TTS (Text-to-Speech) for real-time translation.

As I received the question, I organized my thoughts and spoke while simultaneously translating the sentence into English using TTS. I originally considered doing Japanese as well, but having three voices at once would make the stream too chaotic, so I stuck with English. For Japanese viewers, I can explain later, so it hopefully shouldn’t be a big issue.

Seeing everyone’s surprise makes all the preparation worth it. Plus, this TTS is synthesized using my voice, so it feels less jarring to listen to.

However I agree with Yukiko-chan. ‘For Desperado’ is my personal favorite among Verdia-chan’s songs too.

Yeah, it’s not weird at all. Hearing something like this from your oshi is definitely heirloom-worthy.

As I read the next question and translated it through TTS, Verdia-chan’s eyes widened, and she nodded vigorously.

For some reason, Verdia-chan looked even more excited than when we were talking about songs. She flailed around, describing the taste of the samgyeopsal she had. Her already large eyes widened to the point of looking a bit scary.

Wow, she must really love it. Even most Koreans don’t eat samgyeopsal three times a week. Maybe Verdia-chan is more Korean than many Koreans themselves. The fact that she eats it with grilled kimchi says it all.
