I Can See a VTuber’s Red Pills - Chapter 26

The next morning, I faced Yoon Taesu, the newest addition to the team. He entered the penthouse study precisely at the appointed time.

In his hand was a report summarizing the results of last night’s showcase and outlining future plans.

“The showcase was a success. It far exceeded projected numbers in both promotional impact and revenue.”

Yoon Taesu’s voice was as calm and dry as ever. The electrifying atmosphere from the night before seemed to have left no impression on him.

“Revenue doesn’t matter.”

“Of course. However, this success lays a positive foundation for future activities. Public expectations for the ‘Starlight Project’ have risen significantly.”

“Good. What’s next, then?”

I cut to the chase. Yoon Taesu, as if he’d been waiting, began briefing the prepared material.

“First, we’ll finalize the official contracts with Ajeong and Rinne, followed by securing stable broadcasting schedules. Capitalizing on the showcase’s momentum with follow-up content wouldn’t be a bad idea. I’ll coordinate with Jeongyeon to establish a detailed roadmap.”

“Good. For contract terms, make sure they’re industry-leading—no, scratch that. Just give them the absolute best.”

“Already accounted for. Also… regarding the company building you requested, I’ve compiled a list of the most optimal locations.”

He turned his tablet toward me. The screen displayed a neatly organized list of state-of-the-art office buildings in Gangnam and Pangyo, complete with rental prices, square footage, and surrounding infrastructure—details any ordinary company would prioritize.

But I wasn’t interested in the numbers. My eyes stopped on one building.

Unlike the others, it wasn’t flashy or centrally located. Instead, it was a newly constructed building on the outskirts, seemingly just completed.

“What’s this one? There’s barely any info compared to the others.”

“Ah, that property hasn’t officially gone on sale or lease yet. It was originally built as a corporate headquarters for a specific company, but their plans changed, so it may soon hit the market. The advantages are tight security and flexible interior remodeling, but the price is steep, and the surrounding infrastructure isn’t fully developed—”

Before he could finish, I made my decision.

“Let’s go with this one.”

“…Pardon? This building?”

“Yes. Don’t lease it—buy the whole thing outright. Price isn’t an issue, so expedite the process and prepare for interior renovations. Private practice rooms, lounges, and… a top-tier motion-capture studio. Secure it all in advance.”

Yoon Taesu’s brow furrowed slightly. After a brief pause, as if running calculations, he regained his composure.

“Understood. I’ll initiate the purchase, interior design, and construction immediately. However, it may require more time and capital than anticipated.”

“Money isn’t a problem, but the time factor is annoying. Spend whatever it takes to speed it up.”

My tone was firm. Yoon Taesu nodded without further objection.

His gaze held no surprise at my unconventional decision—only cold, analytical focus on how to execute this massive project efficiently. I’d chosen well.

With the building acquisition settled, the next step was filling it.

While the purchase of Zel Naga Entertainment’s new headquarters progressed swiftly, Jeongyeon and Ajeong were swamped with attention following the showcase.

Thanks to delegating much of the company’s operations to Yoon Taesu, Jeongyeon could focus entirely on her core role: managing the VTubers and content planning. She coordinated Ajeong’s and her own streaming schedules and brainstormed ideas to sustain the showcase’s momentum.

Moreover, preparing for the showcase had brought the two closer. Spending time together in the motion-capture studio and even co-streaming had deepened their bond.

[Rinne (Yoo Jeongyeon)]: Ajeong! Don’t forget we’re recording that duet cover after your stream tonight! We should upload it this week for maximum impact!

[Ajeong]: Yes, Rinne-sunbaenim! I’ve memorized the lyrics! But… I’m still nervous. What if I mess up?

[Rinne (Yoo Jeongyeon)]: Oh, come on! Your voice is gorgeous! Just trust your reliable sunbaenim here!

Jeongyeon’s bright, encouraging energy eased Ajeong’s nerves. Though Ajeong had grown more confident after the showcase, she still had a cautious, delicate side—and Jeongyeon had become both a dependable senior and a friend to her.

Ajeong shone brilliantly in her premium avatar and environment, while Jeongyeon skillfully led streams while showcasing her charm.

Everything was unfolding exactly as I’d envisioned. Viewer reactions were explosive. The Starlight Project had skyrocketed to the top of the VTuber scene’s most anticipated ventures.

But I wasn’t rushing. The first two slots in my display case were filled flawlessly, but rather than hastily adding more, I prioritized solidifying the stage and environment to make these gems shine even brighter.

“President Yoon, Jeongyeon. A word.”

I summoned them back to the study. They stood before me, tense, anticipating new orders.

“The showcase was a success. But this is just the beginning.”

I paused. Their attention locked onto me.

“The next phase… will focus on stabilizing internal systems and strengthening our current members’ capabilities.”

Jeongyeon and Yoon Taesu exchanged glances, seemingly surprised. They’d likely expected me to push for new recruits immediately.

“President Yoon, alongside the building acquisition and renovations, formalize the corporate structure to function as a proper enterprise. Jeongyeon, keep elevating the quality of your and Ajeong’s streams. Don’t just fill airtime—experiment with ideas you’ve wanted to try. If funding’s an issue, tell me. For now, our goal isn’t expansion—it’s consolidation.”

After a brief moment of confusion, they nodded solemnly, grasping my intent.

“Understood, CEO. I’ll begin corporate registration immediately.” —Yoon Taesu.

“Yes, sir! Ajeong and I will work harder to show our growth through content!” —Jeongyeon, enthusiastically.

Good. Getting drunk on the showcase’s success and recklessly expanding would’ve been foolish. With a perfected stage and system, adding to my collection could wait.

For now, the stage came first.

That didn’t mean I’d stopped collecting, though.

At night, I still sat alone, scouring VTuber streams. My eyes still saw their hidden forms—the Red Pills.

‘Hmm… This one’s decent. Great gaming sense, charming voice. Red Pill quality… passable.’

When I found a promising candidate, I quietly added her name and traits to my private list.

I wouldn’t act yet, but good prospects were always worth noting. When the time came, I’d place them into my display case—one by one, at the perfect moment.

Days later, I posted on the community board for the first time in a while.

Title: Showcase + Corporate Startup Recap (ft. Ajeong & Rinne).txt

■ ZelNaga

Long time no see, fuckers.

Been busy setting up the VTuber corp, so I’ve been MIA.

To those waiting for booger: chill. I’ll drop some later.

First, a recap.

Original Avatars:

Tried contacting artists through Rinne, but they all said they were booked.

So I offered 3x pay for immediate work.

Suddenly, they were very available. Quality and communication were top-tier, so we’ll stick with them.

Showcase Stage & Motion Capture:

Had to outsource both. Rented an external studio since we didn’t have one ready.

But we’re buying a building now—gonna install a premium motion-capture studio there.

Exclusive to Zel Naga VTubers.

Corporate registration’s done. Building’s bought. Once renovations finish, we’re full-speed ahead.

Anyway, just dropping by.

Now that the busywork’s over, I’ll be around more.

Today’s booger substitute: chicken. I’ll drop some after dinner, so stop whining.

PS: You fuckers got me scolded by Rinne. “Why do you talk like that?” she said. If you were gonna teach me slang, you should’ve done it right. What kind of degenerate shit was that?

- LMAOOOOO CEO’S HERE ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

I did want to recap events, but that last part was the real point.

Not long ago, during Ajeong and Jeongyeon’s stream, I got scolded for my usual antics.

The memory was still vivid.

“CEO.”

“Yeah?”

“Where did you learn to talk like that?”

“…Uh, why?”

Jeongyeon approached me with an uncharacteristically icy expression.

“It’s just… excessively crude.”

“…Huh?”

“I mean—no, actually. Don’t talk like that on our streams anymore.”

“…….”

My one joy in life—denied. My mind went blank.

“Earlier, too. ‘Nom nom baby food looks tasty lol’ and ‘Can I touch your buns?’—this has to stop. You’re a corporate CEO now. Act like it.”

“…….”

“Respond.”

“……Yes.”

In that moment, the man who’d thrown money around like confetti plummeted to the bottom of the hierarchy.
