I Can See a VTuber’s Red Pills - Chapter 19

Original (3)

Establishing a corporate entity.

Even after instructing Jungyeon to research it, the term kept echoing in my mind.

It began as a vague idea of simply doing VTuber-related work, but now it was taking on a rather concrete form.

My own little kingdom.

A collection I personally select and perfectly manage.

The more I thought about it, the more appealing the plan became.

I couldn’t leave it all to Jungyeon.

While her understanding of VTubers was high, establishing and operating a company was an entirely different domain.

Ultimately, as the final decision-maker, I needed to grasp at least the basic structure.

I poured myself a cup of coffee, sat at my desk, and immediately opened a search window.

– VTuber corporate entity establishment procedure.

– Entertainment corporation establishment.

– Motion capture studio construction cost.

– VTuber exclusive contract template.

The flood of information was far more complex than I had anticipated.

It wasn’t simply a matter of gathering a few people and having them stream.

From corporate registration to tax, copyright (avatar rights) management, and contract issues.

There was a reason why existing entertainment companies employed lawyers and professional managers.

The contract section particularly stood out.

Avatar ownership.

This had to be clarified.

Even if Ajung, Rinne, or any other VTuber I might recruit in the future left the company, the avatar had to remain entirely ‘mine’—that is, a company asset.

Frankly, I wouldn’t mind just giving it to them, but it was absolutely necessary to filter out the so-called “ssalmeokchung” (freeloaders) who just wanted a free avatar.

I wasn’t trying to maximize profit.

My sole purpose was perfect control, top quality, and the full enjoyment of the results.

The cost of building a motion capture studio was also considerable.

From space rental to expensive equipment and specialized personnel.

However, this wasn’t a major issue.

I had plenty of money.

The problem was ‘efficiency.’

Would building a studio myself truly be more efficient than renting an external one?

Looking at it long-term, and if I wanted to maintain the level of security and control I desired, having our own studio seemed like the answer.

The conclusion became clear.

To properly build and manage this ‘kingdom of my own,’ knowledge of VTubers alone was insufficient.

An expert proficient in law, management, and accounting—someone who understood ‘business’ itself—was essential.

Jungyeon was talent suited for ‘practical work,’ like communicating with artists and setting content direction based on her experience and knowledge as a VTuber.

But the role of laying the foundation and operating this kingdom would be too much for her.

‘I’ll have to find more people.’

Somehow, finding people now felt like a matter of course.

Problems solvable with money were no longer problems.

“Sir! I’ve requested revisions from the artists based on the feedback you gave yesterday! A few of them have already sent their second drafts! Would you like to take a look?”

In the afternoon, Jungyeon came to my room again, tablet in hand.

She seemed to have perfectly adapted to her secretary mode, her reporting voice full of energy.

I quickly scanned the revised drafts reflecting the points I had made yesterday.

Experts were indeed different.

They accurately understood the feedback and developed it in a better direction.

“Hmm, this 3D modeling is good. It captures the slightly downturned eyes characteristic of Ajung-ssi well. Tell them to proceed with the detail work on this one. For the outfit design… combine this and this from the drafts we saw last time.”

I selected the drafts that naturally overlapped with Ajung’s real appearance and gave instructions without hesitation.

My gaze wasn’t focused on the character’s flashiness or trends.

It was solely on the harmony with the ‘real Ajung’ and whether it embodied the image I wanted to see.

“Yes! I’ll relay that immediately! Ah, and I’ve also done some basic research regarding the corporate entity….”

Jungyeon cautiously opened another file.

It briefly summarized types of corporate entities, estimated initial capital (though this figure was meaningless to me), necessary minimum personnel structure, and points to note in typical VTuber contracts.

Seeing how she had summarized only the key points in such a short time, her work processing was certainly neat.

“It’s more complicated than you thought, right? It seems we’ll need legal consultation right away, and accounting too… There are so many things to take care of to establish a proper company structure.”

Jungyeon’s words mostly matched what I had researched in the morning.

I feigned ignorance and nodded.

“That’s true, isn’t it? It would be difficult for you to handle everything alone, Jungyeon-ssi… We’ll need a legal expert or someone with management experience.”

“Yes, probably. If you want to operate it properly.”

A hint of disappointment seemed to tinge Jungyeon’s voice.

Was it anxiety that she might not play a core role in this grand project?

I added, so she wouldn’t misunderstand.

“Jungyeon-ssi, you should focus on your VTuber expertise, managing artists, and planning avatars and content, just like you’re doing now. That’s what you do best. As for establishing and managing the company’s framework… we can just find an expert for that field.”

At my words, Jungyeon’s expression brightened again.

She seemed to have become quite accustomed to my way of solving everything with money, or perhaps she was relieved that her role had become clear.

“Yes, Sir! I will do my utmost in the tasks you’ve entrusted to me!”

Another loyal salute.

I nodded with satisfaction.

Yes, everyone focusing on what they do best.

That was the foundation of an efficient system.

After Jungyeon left, I opened the community forum again.

The gallery was still hot with talk of the ‘Zelnaga corporate entity’ establishment.

It had moved beyond mere speculation, with posts now predicting which VTubers would join as the first generation and when auditions might be held.

Title: Zelnaga Group 1st Gen Predicted Lineup

First, Ajung (center, main vocalist vibe) and Rinne (leader, also secretary) are confirmed.

Considering Naga-hyung’s taste, he’ll probably pick weirdo bottom-tier VTubers.

OO or XX, who have been streaming hard lately, look like strong candidates. ㅇㅇ

Or maybe he’ll just pay to bring in existing popular ones?

– This is so blatantly headcanon, it’s hilarious LMAO. But honestly, I’m looking forward to it.

– Naga-hyung, please hold public auditions!

– But looking at Naga-hyung, he doesn’t seem to care about making money and just keeps giving it away. Seriously, joining there would be a life-changer for a VTuber LOL.

– A corporate entity with insane benefits LOL. No money worries as long as you stream diligently.

– Looking at the situation, even though it’s a corporate entity, he’d probably give all the profit shares to the VTubers.

– If it fails, they all just suck their thumbs together, I guess LOL. Where’s success without risk?

ㄴ What do you mean fail, you f*cker? Zelnaga, that b*stard, just has to say a word or two on stream and hundreds or thousands of Butter drop LOL.

– Everything’s good, but why the f*ck isn’t he throwing burgers lately?

ㄴ Seriously LOL

ㄴ This b*stard has lost his original spirit, the d*mned fool.

Seeing people’s expectations made me laugh.

Profit sharing?

Auditions?

Their imagination was interesting, but they were completely missing the point.

This wasn’t a business.

It was purely a ‘collection management’ system for my personal satisfaction.

There would be no auditions.

Because I would personally ‘select’ them.

Profit sharing?

On the contrary, I should be paying them to stream.

So they can exist purely as I desire, without any financial worries.

That would be the fundamental operating principle of the corporate entity I create.

‘Burgers…’

The last comment reminded me of something I had forgotten.

Since hiring a secretary, my community activity had dwindled, causing me to skip ‘burger time.’

I was in a good mood today, so maybe I should hand some out for the first time in a while.

I clicked the ‘Write Post’ button after a long time.

Title: Long time no see. Take some burgers. And a question.
■Zelnaga

Been a bit busy lately.
(Most_expensive_hamburger_set_gift_card_1-100.jpg)

Eat well.

Just one question.

If, and this is a big if, I were to create a company to support VTubers.

And I needed someone extremely knowledgeable in law or management, where would be the most reliable place to find them?
Headhunting?

Or just a regular job posting?

ps. If you ate, leave your number in the comments. It’s the unwritten rule.

– Kyaaaaaaaaah! Naga-hyung, thank you so much! ㅠㅠㅠ

– You finally came! ㅠㅠㅠㅠ We’ve been waiting, you f*cker!

– Got number 1! Thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks!

– Number 58, I’ll eat it well! Loyalty, loyalty! ^^7

– Wow, look at the level of this question LOL. He’s really starting a company LOL.

– A management expert? Doesn’t that mean finding someone at the executive level of a large corporation?

– Headhunting is fast, but it costs a f*ckton of money. But frankly, for Naga-hyung, that would probably be the fastest?

– If money is really no object, try posting a job with an annual salary of like 1 billion won.

– If he’s really that rich, isn’t acquiring existing companies the fastest way?

– This crazy b*stard’s dedication scale is truly f*cking insane LMAO.

ㄴ What kind of psycho f*cking starts a company just to watch VTubers? LMAO.

ㄴ This guy is the real crazy psycho.

As expected, the reaction was immediate.

Along with cheers for the burgers, all sorts of answers to my question poured in.

Headhunting, high-salary job postings, acquiring existing companies, and so on—everyone offered rather plausible ideas.

‘Hmm. I was right to ask.’

I slowly read through the comments, gathering information.

Asking an unspecified crowd like this sometimes yielded unexpected solutions, more so than relying solely on Jungyeon.

The next step was now clear.

Jungyeon would continue managing avatar production and researching basic corporate establishment materials, while I would separately search for the key personnel to handle operations.

In other words, someone to work in my stead.

Someone thoroughly focused on company operations rather than necessarily understanding VTubers.

Perhaps… posting a job offer with outrageous conditions would be the fastest way this time too.

An annual salary of 1 billion won?

Even more would be fine.

If it was someone who could handle all the troublesome work for me.

I smiled with satisfaction once more and turned my gaze to Ajung’s broadcast screen.

On screen, Ajung was in the middle of a game, laughing and chatting with her viewers.
