Now That I Have Become a Woman, I Am a Vtuber - Chapter 95
Travel PreperationKim Manager’s birthday trip to Japan was just around the corner.
As I prepared, I realized this would actually be my first time traveling abroad. I got my first passport, researched how to board a plane, and packed my suitcase. All I needed to do now was show up at the airport; my travel prep was complete. One last thing remained, though.
As Miro, I had an obligation—my viewers needed to know I wouldn’t be streaming while I was gone. I meant to tell them yesterday, but I got wrapped up in Beat Saber. So, on the eve of my departure, I set up the stream to share the news.
[Beat Saber Stream Off (Announcement Today)]
I went live, partly to chat one last time and partly to give the notice.
– No Beat Saber?
– Da Miro!
– Announcement?
– Finally taking a break
– Miro Announcement™: probably nothing
– Just start the game!
“Hello, everyone.”
As soon as I was live, the viewers were already urging me to spill the news. Impatient as ever—what harm could a bit of waiting do?
“Let’s wait for a few more people to join, okay?”
[Thank you, ₩1,000 donation from ᄋᄋ]
– But isn’t it unfair to those of us who got here early?
– LOL, they’ve got a point
– I didn’t think of it that way
“Oh? Who asked you to rush in here first? It’s like boarding a plane early and then demanding we take off before everyone else shows up.”
– Fair point
– But you’re not an airplane, though
– Just say it now, then repeat it later
“So, everyone, what did you all do today?”
– Don’t ignore us
– Talk!
– Calling this in to the rekkas!
The chat was already on fire, and I sighed. Honestly, it’s almost comforting now, the familiar sight of them riling up.
“Alright, everyone, settle down. You didn’t all just sit at home today, did you? How about we chat while we wait for the others?”
– But I *was* home all day
– Is that a problem?
– I stayed home.
– I watched a movie today.
– What’s wrong with staying in my own house?
– Rock.
“Oh, a movie! Nice. Anything new out these days?”
Come to think of it, it’s been ages since I watched a movie. People keep talking about streaming everything, but I barely watch anything on those platforms.
– There’s nothing good out right now.
– So, what’s the announcement?
– They did release a bunch for Chuseok, though.
Hmm… Speaking of movies, maybe I could host a movie night with viewers sometime. Wonder what movies I haven’t seen… or maybe an anime that’s just come out? Should I set up a poll later? Nah, let’s just ask now.
“Anyone interested in a watch party?”
– Out of nowhere??
– Ooooh
– ㅋㅋ
– Right now?
“No, not right now—later on.”
– Ohhh
– Then tell us later!
– Spoiler alert much;
“Wait, spoiler?”
– 0 0;;
– Noooo
– Spoiling the stream ㅋㅋ
Honestly, they’ll make a fuss over anything now. Nice try, though.
“No spoilers if we’re not doing it, right? Alright, then, I’ll just cancel it.”
-(kneeling emoji)
– Sorry!!
-(raising hand emoji)
The moment I say “cancel,” they start surrendering immediately. Yup, that’s how Miro’s chat room should be.
“Oh, I didn’t say that to make you apologize.”
– Oh, so then…?
-(jumping to attention emoji)
– Not sorry, then.
– Typical.
“Alright, then, canceling as planned.”
– Jj
-(kneeling emoji)
– Please, Miro… please host the movie night…
After plenty of playful back and forth, it seemed everyone had finally arrived, and it was time to make my announcement.
“Okay, everyone, now for the announcement.”
Finally doing it, huh?
– Took long enough
Ignoring the impatient chat, I delivered the line I had prepared in advance.
“This is my final stream.”
The chat paused for a second, then exploded.
– ????
– WHAT??
– For real??
– Why?
Seeing the chat flood so fast it almost lagged, I smiled, enjoying the reactions.
“I’m going to Japan tomorrow. This is my last stream before the trip.”
– You freaking troll!
– Kkkkk
– Of course
– Sigh
“Come on, it’s not really my last stream! I still have to do that watch party we talked about.”
– Gotta do the watch party for sure
– And what about the ranked placements in LoL?
– How about getting a job before you quit streaming?
“Oh? Getting a job? You haven’t yet?”
– Excuse me??
– Oof, that’s a low blow!
– Hey! I have my reasons…
Oops, maybe I hit the wrong button there. Seeing the flood of indignant responses, I raised my hands in mock surrender.
“Whoa, whoa—no offense meant. Please, everyone, calm down.”
– Easy to say
– Cope harder; should’ve gotten that job
– Are you sure there’s *no* offense?

But why are you going to Japan, though?
“Oh, Japan? It’s for my dad’s birthday, so we’re going as a celebration.”
– Classic
– Such a good daughter
– How long’s the trip?
“Two nights, three days. Honestly, it’s my first time traveling abroad, so I’m pretty excited.”
– Bring slippers for the flight
– Do a flip through security
– Just take a passport *photo*, not the actual passport
“Oh, really? Thanks, everyone, for all the tips~”
As travel tips poured into the chat, I thanked them casually and opened up the fan café. Since I’d be on my trip today, I figured I’d go through the popular posts on the fan café before leaving. My viewers came from community boards, so the fan café’s popular posts were more than half humor posts. They were always fun to read.
The viewers seemed to be enjoying it too.
“Wow, there’s so much here. How many pages are there?”
Maybe it’s because I haven’t checked in a while, but even with just the popular posts filtered, there’s a massive backlog.
– You didn’t read them, though.
– You’ve got to catch up on all that homework! haha
“Well, let’s go through them one by one.”
There may be a lot, but they’re all popular posts, so it shouldn’t be too hard to enjoy them. Starting with the first random humor post, I scrolled down when a title caught my eye:
[Miro, is this true??]
What? What’s supposed to be true? It’s a popular post, so it shouldn’t be random.
I clicked in and found a short video clip. Judging by the avatar, it looked like Haru.
– Ohh
– Ah, this one!
– Hurry, watch it!
– What is it?
Seems like some people have already seen it. Curiosity rising, I clicked on the video to find Haru on screen, chatting with her viewers while a notepad was open.
[Oh, and Anna said…]
It seemed like she was talking about the members. Did she slip up and say something she shouldn’t have? Streaming often leads to little slip-ups; after all, it’s natural for someone to say something unintended after hours of talking.
[Miro? Oh, with Miro, the more I see, the more I feel like…]
Feel like what? Now I’m getting a bit nervous. Could she have said something awkward?
[Whatever she does, she’s so good at it~ The more I meet her these days, the more I think that if she hadn’t been a VTuber, she’d probably be on TV or something. I’m serious; she practically glows!]
Huh… just a compliment?
I listened a bit longer, but it was indeed nothing serious. I laughed at myself for getting tense over nothing.
– Haha, she’s overhyping!
– TV, really?
– If she weren’t a VTuber, she’d be in college haha
– Imagine if you hadn’t made it, though!
But the viewers seemed to interpret it differently. Is being on TV such a big deal? I mean, it does have weight—I’ve experienced that. Maybe it reminded Haru of that time.
“Not much for a top post, huh? But hey, I’m multi-talented and naturally radiant, so compliments like this are getting a bit boring.”
– You’re definitely a master of BS
– Next post, please?
– Someone posted must-see spots for your Japan trip; read that!
“Must-see spots in Japan? Oh, where is it?”
I was heading to Japan tomorrow, but honestly, I didn’t have a set itinerary. I’d only booked a hotel, leaving everything else wide open, so I quickly searched for the viewer’s recommended Japan post.
“Ah, found it.”
[Miro’s Must-See Spots in Japan by Region]
Since I wasn’t sure exactly where I’d be going, they’d written down must-see spots for every region, though I only looked at the Osaka part, as that’s where I’d be tomorrow. The post had photos and detailed descriptions, clearly well-organized and not something thrown together at the last minute—definitely high quality.
Places like Dotonbori, Osaka Castle, and Universal Studios popped up—classic tourist spots, as expected.
– The big tourist attractions, for sure
– Nice list
– That’s a real sightseeing list!
– Eh, is it worth it?
– Isn’t that basically Seoul?
“Oh, come on. Any other suggestions?”
– Definitely Universal Studios
– Try finding good food spots around Dotonbori!
– How am I supposed to suggest places if I haven’t been there?
– Just stay home and stream, lol
– What are we supposed to watch if you’re gone, Miro?
“I’ll make it a long stream today, so you’ll be okay.”
– That’s our Miro!
– Isn’t this just you juggling promises?
It was only a short 2-night, 3-day trip, so I wouldn’t be able to stream tomorrow or the day after. Might as well go longer today.
“All right, let’s check out the next post.”
And so, the stream continued late into the night, as we scrolled through posts, chatted, and prepared for the trip ahead.
