Now That I Have Become a Woman, I Am a Vtuber - Chapter 26

Drawing

The handshake scene between the notorious chairman of the broadcast and the newly joined viewer today was unprecedented in broadcasting history, heating up the community.

Suhyun, who was merely thinking of easing the chaotic chatroom, was surprised to find that the community users highly appreciated the handshake process.

___________

[Miro is a genius.]

(Gif of the handshake between the chairman and the new viewer in Miro’s chatroom)

-Exposing the notorious chairman and simultaneously achieving a grand unification with the new viewers… Amazing.

-I laughed so hard watching the live broadcast.

-Isn’t this worthy of the Pulitzer Prize of the year?

___________

[I was amazed by Miro’s build-up.]

From attracting attention with the broadcast title -> announcing the fan name arbitrarily when people gathered -> the chatroom exploded with accusations of dictatorship -> hanging the chairman in the chat -> bringing a new viewer and comparing them -> making them shake hands and achieving a grand unification.

She handled it so smoothly, like flowing water.

With this one move, Miro skipped the tedious process of deciding on a fan name with the picky viewers and set the mood of the chatroom.

Is she really a novice who started broadcasting through an audition? I was amazed watching this.

___________

[Miro is smart.]

-Is she really 21? She seems to handle people well despite probably having no social experience.

-But isn’t ‘Mirodan’ too hastily made?

-It’s like Team Rocket.

-Even other streamers think hard with the viewers to decide, but Miro made it hastily.

-But so what?

-If Miro says it’s Mirodan, then it’s Mirodan.

-Anyway, Miro’s chatroom isn’t a place where people work together with their heads.

[But is Miro’s chatroom always this extreme?]

I was surprised to see the chat logs of the chairman who watched from the beginning of the broadcast.

-Is this really the chat of a female VTuber’s broadcast?

-Miro’s chatroom has always been lax.

-I don’t know, is it the same in other members’ broadcasts?

ᄂ If you chat like this in Miro’s room, you get kicked or banned.

-I got banned for singing in another member’s broadcast.

ᄂ Miro bans for that too, idiot.

-The managers themselves chat like that.

ᄂ In The Six, don’t they say anything?

ᄂ It seems like they only do that during personal broadcasts, but during joint broadcasts, Miro knows how to handle it, so they don’t really interfere.

ᄂ If they were going to complain about this kind of thing, they wouldn’t have picked them in the first place.

Thus, the community heated up today until the time Miro ended the broadcast and went to sleep.

Before I possessed this body, the specialty of the female Kim Suhyun was undoubtedly drawing.

Whether it was because she had a natural knack for it or exceptional talent, the female Kim Suhyun, who started drawing in middle school—perhaps a bit late compared to others—quickly improved, and by the time she graduated high school, she was producing illustrations on par with professionals.

After honing her skills, she began to incorporate more of her own style, and just before I possessed this body, she was quite a well-known artist on Bluebird.

She even earned a sweet allowance by occasionally taking commissions.

It seems like the design department had a hard time with her, which primarily deals with programs rather than drawings.

Anyway, the reason I’m thinking about this is that I logged into the Bluebird account after a long time.

-Author, when are you coming back?

-Are you not drawing anymore?

-I’m the person who requested a commission last time. I’d like to request one again…

Seeing the comments on the last post I uploaded brought back some feelings.

To think that there are people waiting for me outside of broadcasting… Although, technically, it’s not me they’re waiting for since it’s before I possessed this body.

But with my memories intact and this body… Is the female Kim Suhyun me or not me?

“It’s complicated.”

Getting lost in these sentimental thoughts made my head feel muddled.

For now, I didn’t bother to reply to the comments and instead posted a new piece.

The post I uploaded for the first time in over a month was, of course, a drawing.

It was a drawing I had worked on in my spare time after broadcasts ended.

To be honest, it was a bit different from the drawings the female Kim Suhyun had posted so far.

Unlike the cute fan art of the latest animations she usually posted, this time I uploaded a drawing of a character from an older comic, drawn with all the skill I could muster, and it wasn’t even a cute girl but a male protagonist.

A long-haired samurai man posing with a Japanese katana.

Maybe because I had drawn it using all the techniques the female Kim Suhyun had in her memory over the past few days? The quality was so high that even I found it unbelievable.

Gradually, the art that was drawn easily and quickly to match one’s personality differed significantly from the one where all of one’s skills were poured into a blank canvas with utmost effort.

The texture of the character’s clothes and every single muscle in the arm were detailed meticulously, almost causing the eyes to pop out.

“Phew…”

It seems like it’s not something I can do again after just one try.

The drawing I made was so good that I was amazed at myself, but now my back is stiff and my wrist hurts.

It’s probably better to draw comfortably like I used to.

However, knowing that my skills are much better than I thought is definitely a big gain.

Well, drawing like this on a broadcast might be too much since it can be easily identified, but occasionally showing off my skills cautiously wouldn’t be bad, right? For a Vtuber, every single one of these things is an advantage.

From what I remember, there was a Vtuber who also drew well and made a lot of videos with it.

As I uploaded the drawing and pondered how to proceed with future broadcasts, my phone started buzzing.

[Manager]

The caller was the manager.

I wondered what was up and answered the call.

“Hello?”

[Ah, yes, Miro.]

“Yes, manager, what is it?”

[Well, it’s just that… now Miro has decided on a fan name, right?]

“Yes, although I decided it on my own…”

[It’s fine. I didn’t expect you to control the atmosphere of the stream so well.]

There was a tone of admiration in the manager’s voice over the phone.

“Haha, didn’t I tell you roughly?”

[When I heard it, it sounded vague… you must be strong in actual practice.]

“That’s the first time I’ve heard that, but it’s high praise as a broadcaster.”

[You deserve the high praise. The company was having a hard time, but you solved it well. Anyway, the reason I called is that now that each of you has received and adapted to a certain number of incoming viewers, we are planning a collaboration.]

“A collaboration?”

A collaboration… Indeed, since the song release, we’ve been too busy receiving new viewers to have such a schedule.

[Yes, we plan to proceed with content in The Six. Nothing specific has been decided yet, but we want to coordinate the date in advance. Is there a date that works for you?]

“As long as you tell me a few days in advance, any date is fine with me.”

The only reason I leave the house is to go to the vocal academy.

Since I go there in the early afternoon, there is plenty of time for the broadcast.

It’s just a feature, but in reality, Hyunsu has already written all the lyrics, so all I have to do is sing them well. There’s plenty of time until the album release, so the schedule isn’t too tight either.

[That’s a relief. So, Miro, you’re free anytime, right?]

“It makes me seem like someone with has nothing to do, doesn’t it?”

[Haha! You don’t have any broadcasting schedules, do you?]

“Well… yeah, that’s true.”

[I’d love to tell you to stick to a regular schedule, but some viewers find the charm in your guerilla broadcasts.]

“Oh, really?”

My broadcast times are random.

I start streaming in the evening and stop when it’s time to sleep.

Since I have vocal lessons in the early afternoon the next day, I don’t stream late, making the broadcast time relatively short.

[It’s just the timing that’s random and short, but you broadcast often, don’t you? You hardly take any breaks.]

“Yeah, because there’s nothing much to prepare.”

Other peers in the Celestial Project seem to rack their brains for their broadcasts.

They usually stream for about five hours, so they’re serious about planning their content.

So much so that they often take breaks when they can’t think of anything to do.

[Others seem to feel a lot of pressure.]

“That’s understandable…”

Seeing the number of viewers increase day by day after releasing a song, I get it.

It seems like the Celestial Project audition editing videos produced by The Six are really helping.

[It’s good that you don’t feel much pressure, Miro.]

“For me, it’s just like doing what I always do.”

How should I put it… I have this strange confidence.

The confidence that viewers will watch me even if I don’t prepare anything or try to present myself differently.

This thought hasn’t changed whether I had 100 viewers, 1,000 viewers, or even now.

[Consistency is a good thing. Especially in a growing situation like this, I think it’s best to stay true to yourself.]

“Is that so?”

[Yes. If the broadcast becomes stagnant, it’s right to try something new, but with so many new viewers, it’s better to stick to what you’ve been doing. New viewers are attracted to your past and come to see you in the present because of that, right?]

“Oh… are you a humanities major?”

I’ve always felt this, but my manager speaks really well. I bet they’re boosting other members’ morale like this too.

[Unfortunately, I’m a science major. Anyway, I’ll get back to you once the collaboration schedule is set.]

“Got it, thank you.”

[Good luck with your broadcast today, Miro.]

After ending the call with my manager, I went back to Blue Bird to check the reactions to the picture I posted earlier.

I spent a few days drawing it and thought it turned out really well, so I hoped there’d be some comments.

I logged in with high expectations, but since it hadn’t been long since I posted, there weren’t many reactions yet.

You can’t expect to be satisfied on the first try… feeling a bit disappointed, I went through the rest of the day, and the next morning.

I woke up and checked my phone, my eyes widening.

“Why are there so many notifications?”

In the few hours between ending my broadcast and waking up again, there were tons of notifications from Blue Bird.
