Now That I Have Become a Woman, I Am a Vtuber - Chapter 135

Christmas Eve - 2

I shook off the drunken pleas of my high school friends who begged me to join them for a second round and headed back toward my neighborhood.

Stopping by a convenience store, I picked up a few cans of beer and some light snacks. My destination? Maho’s place.

It’s close by, so it’s convenient to visit.

“Suhyun! You’re h—”

Maho greeted me cheerfully when I knocked, but her words trailed off as she noticed my flushed face.

“Uh… how much did you drink?”
“Hahaha, I’m coming in.”
“W-wait a sec!”
“Too late. I’m already in.”

She seemed genuinely concerned about my state, but there was no need.
I wasn’t drunk enough to cause any real trouble—just enough to make my face red.

The last time I visited Maho’s place, it looked a little different.
This time, the winter season was in full swing. The blankets on her bed were thick and cozy, and a small Christmas tree sat cheerfully in the corner.

“Wow….”
She really knows how to make her place look nice.

“What’s that in your hand? What did you bring?”

Maho’s eyes landed on the bags I was carrying. Right, I should unpack these.

“Just some stuff to share.”
“Oh? What is it?”
“Nothing fancy—beer and some snacks.”

I opened the bag and revealed my modest haul. Maho looked at it with an expression I couldn’t quite read—equal parts approval and concern.

“What’s wrong? Don’t like beer?”
“No, I do. But, uh… can you handle more?”
“Hahaha, I won’t get any drunker off just beer.”

Beer isn’t even real alcohol—it’s basically soda.

Even though my body felt warm and a little light, I was perfectly aware of my surroundings. No need for her to worry.

“Alright then, let’s keep streaming. We can drink while we do it.”
“Sigh, I just hope we don’t have any incidents tonight.”
“Don’t worry—I’m a pro at this.”

Maho sighed but turned back to her desk. She resumed the stream she had briefly paused to greet me.

“Aaaand we’re back. Sorry for the delay! Miro’s here.”
“Hahaha, hello!”

  • Oh?
  • Welcome!
  • ???
  • Knew you’d show up.
  • THE MIRO

It seemed Maho had mentioned I’d be coming by. The viewers welcomed me warmly.

“Nice to see you all. How’s your Christmas Eve going?”

  • Enjoying it now.
  • Wait, Miro’s here?
  • Why does the energy feel so high tonight?

“Energy? Ah~ maybe because I’ve had a little to drink.”
“Her face is completely red right now.”
“Ah! Don’t just tell them that! Yeah, I had a few drinks before coming here.”

  • LMAO
  • Party animal.
  • Wow, meanwhile I’m just here watching streams.

“Come on, it’s Christmas Eve! Look outside—it’s snowing. Go check your windows.”

  • Already did.
  • Yeah, we’ve been talking about it.
  • It’s pretty.

“What? You all already saw it?”
“Yeah, the snow’s been falling for a while.”
“Wow, to stay indoors when the world looks this magical….”

  • ???
  • Wanna fight?
  • Come outside and say that.

“Oh no, the chat’s getting feisty. My viewers must be pouring in.”
“Right… because it’s definitely not your fault. Yeah, must be that.”

  • LMAO
  • She gave up.
  • Miro Magnet™

Sure enough, I noticed familiar usernames popping up in the chat. Word must’ve spread.

“Okay, folks from my channel—when in Rome, do as the Romans do. Follow Maho’s chat rules, please.”

  • Then why don’t YOU stream?
  • Why are you here?
  • Sorry, I’m a Maho fan now~

“Why am I here? It’s Christmas Eve, and I wanted to stop by and show my face.”

  • Just go home and stream yourself.
  • Turn on your own channel.
  • Right now.

“Stream? In this state? I’m too tipsy to manage that.”

Truthfully, I came to Maho’s place for the comfort. It’s more fun and relaxing to stream together than alone.
Right now, while I’m bantering with her chat, she’s in the background cracking open one of the beers I brought.

“Hey, you’re drinking without me?”
“Uh—uh? You brought it to share!”
“Wow, leaving me to entertain the stream while you enjoy my beer. Tastes good, huh?”

  • Drama alert.
  • Scandalous.
  • Today’s Miro is adorable.

“I-I didn’t mean it like that. But, yeah, it’s good.”
“Right? It’s one of those celebrity-endorsed beers.”

“By the way, what were you doing before this? You don’t drink often.”
“I met up with some old friends from high school.”

  • ???
  • She’s actually popular?
  • What a social butterfly.

“Hahaha, don’t worry—it was an all-girls gathering.”

  • Still suspicious.
  • Pics or it didn’t happen.

“Pics? Wow, have I built so little trust in you all after months of streaming?”

  • Yep.
  • Sorry, you’re bankrupt in trust.

I sighed, watching as more of my viewers flooded in. This had to have been posted somewhere—it always spread like wildfire.

For a moment, I wondered if I was being a nuisance.
Was I messing up Maho’s Christmas Eve stream?
I glanced over at her to gauge her mood.

“Mm, this is good. Try some of this, Miro.”

…Never mind. She looked completely at ease, enjoying the snacks and drinks I brought.

Relaxing, I accepted some of the snacks she handed me.

“Delicious.”
“Right? Here, have some beer too.”

  • What are they drinking?
  • Share with the chat.

“Beer, of course. But did you all miss me that much? My viewers are rushing in like they’ve been starving for attention.”

  • We were waiting.
  • Thought you’d ghost us.

Was this much anticipation normal? Maybe I should’ve streamed from home after all.

[Viewer Name], 10,000 won donation!
“We waited forever, you jerk….”

“Hey, no swearing in this chat. Maho, mute this user for a bit.”
“Huh? Isn’t that your viewer?”
“Hahaha, yeah.”

With a few clicks, I muted the user for five minutes. Maho looked surprised but didn’t stop me.

“10,000 won, thank you! See you in five minutes!”

  • LOL
  • Did she really mute them?
  • This is peak professionalism.

After some more banter and beers, I started to feel my limits.

“Whew, I think that’s enough for me. I should head out.”
“Already?”
“Yeah, time to call it a night.”

  • Nooo!
  • Stay longer.
  • Pull an all-nighter!

“Hahaha, no way. I’m going home to sleep like a log.”

As I stood to leave, a donation chimed.

[Viewer Name], 1,000 won donation!
“Will you stream tomorrow, Miro?”

Christmas Day stream, huh?
I did have plans, but they weren’t until later in the day.

“Alright, I’ll stream tomorrow.”

  • !!!
  • THE GOAT.
  • Santa Miro.

“Okay, see you tomorrow. Enjoy your Christmas.”

Maho sighed as I prepared to leave.
“You could’ve just stayed over….”

I smiled at her and the chat.

“Maybe next time. Merry Christmas, everyone!”

As I walked out into the snow, I couldn’t help but feel the warm glow of the season. Tomorrow, it would be time to celebrate with the rest of the world.
