Please Do Your Debauchery After You Die - Chapter 49
Episode 49: Pride
At the center, on the elevated platform, stands the host, Geum Kiwi.
To the right, at the table, are the supporters, Han-Se-bin and Nuri.
On the left, at the other table, are the opposers, myself and Miho.
The criteria for dividing into supporters and opposers was simple.
Those who had to be mindful of Sayoh and those who were indifferent to it.
The former were the supporters, and the latter were the opposers.
Thanks to this, I could persuade my team members even on such a sensitive discussion topic.
After all, in the event of a problem, the ones who would be targeted are the opposers.
Before the formal debate began, we all looked at the screen and bowed our heads to greet.
“I am Miho, the team leader. We’ve prepared well, so I hope you enjoy it.”
“I am Geum Kiwi, the host. I will strive to ensure we have a constructive discussion.”
After the greetings from Han-Se-bin and Nuri, it was finally my turn.
To gauge Sayoh’s intentions, I threw out a provocative greeting.
“I hope that through this debate, the idol crew formed after the Ugaidol audition can move in a better direction. I am Seoa, nice to meet you.”
Once everyone was done with their greetings, the host, Geum Kiwi, knocked twice with the gavel to bring order to the venue.
A moment later, as attention focused, Geum Kiwi revealed the topic of today’s discussion with a solemn demeanor.
“Today’s discussion topic is about the virtual idol crew to be formed through the audition… for now, I’ll call it Ugaidol. What direction should Ugaidol take? We analyzed it from various perspectives. First, the supporters.”
“Hello. I actively support the vision and opinions that Sayoh has shared during her broadcasts. We are the supporters, Han-Se-bin and Nuri.”
“Next, the opposers.”
“While I respect Sayoh’s opinions, I believe that since Ugaidol is also a party involved, its opinions should be reflected. In other words, we are a community of shared fate! If there are differences in opinion, I believe we can change them through constructive discussion. We are the opposers, Seoa and Miho.”
Bang, bang-!
“Then, we will now begin the debate.”
The curtain rises on the stage.

Sayoh was flustered.
It had been so long since she felt this flustered that she could barely remember when it had last happened.
The content of the pro-con debate prepared by Group F.
She had been keen to see what topic they would discuss, but she was hit by an unexpected surprise.
The direction Ugaidol should take?
This felt to Sayoh like a bolt out of the blue in the dark of night, a thunderclap from a clear sky.
“I have staked my streaming career on Ugaidol. I need to have control over every aspect and be able to move it as I wish.”
If there were to be a failure, who would take responsibility?
The most criticized person would be herself, so she thought that she needed to have significant authority.
But a community of shared fate?
Should the points that need changing be changed through constructive discussion?
That was a statement that Sayoh, who prided herself on her stubbornness and pride, found hard to accept.
“How could I have thought so highly of you?”
Sayoh glared at Seoa, who sat at the front of the opposers, with narrowed eyes.
She felt as though she had been hit hard in the back of the head.
A surge of betrayal.
But she still didn’t know.
She had only just heard the topic of the debate, and they hadn’t delved into the actual content yet.
The actual content could very well be for entertainment purposes to ensure the broadcast was amusing.
– Whoa, LOL, what’s the debate topic? This is crazy.
– Pure fun GOAT.
– Sayoh, let’s manage our expressions a bit!
– Sayoh seems super anxious!
– The rebellion is real, LOL.
– Sayoh’s a “betraying Seoa,” I thought she was already confirmed as a member.
As Sayoh gradually began to calm down, the chat room was still blazing with excitement.
Until a moment ago, it had been dull content and quiet.
“Then the first question. Please look here.”
Geum Kiwi on the screen pointed to the large chalkboard behind her.
After manipulating a button, the content of the first question appeared on the board.
– What do you think of Ugaidol’s ‘idol RP’?
“This part requires a bit more explanation. Right now, Sayoh has prohibited a few things while discussing idol-like qualities, right? For example, the Full Tracker broadcasts in Bangsel or outfits that seem too masculine, and no collaborations, etc. I’m talking about those aspects. Yes, you raised your hand first. Han-Se-bin, please speak.”
“I think those rules must be upheld without exception. The first reason is that there are successful cases on other platforms with appropriate control like Sayoh’s. The second reason is that the most important thing for an idol is their ‘image.’ To have a differentiated image, there must be some sacrifices.”
As Han-Se-bin spoke, Sayoh nodded.
Her points aligned significantly with Sayoh’s own thoughts.
Naturally, she became more immersed in the discussion.
Then, the opposer Seoa raised her hand and began to speak.
“I think there is an error in that statement. Idol? That’s true. But before that, we need to consider that we are ‘streamers.’ This isn’t a troublesome question of whether the egg comes first or the chicken. It’s clear that we are streamers before we are idols.”
“Yes, I can acknowledge that.”
“That’s why I’m saying this. Right now, we’re too fixated on idol RP. We must fulfill our responsibilities as streamers first. Above all, viewers want entertainment. But due to the prohibition on collaborations, will the successful candidates just gather together for broadcasts? With similar visuals every day, the image consumption accelerates, and the entertainment we can feel becomes limited, doesn’t it?”
Seoa’s sharp critique.
Both Han-Se-bin and Sayoh flinched at the moment.
Han-Se-bin then rebutted again.
“Why can’t we? It has worked on the other platform.”
“No. That example is completely off. The situation on the other platform is completely different. They have an overwhelming scale of fan cafes, right? So the content they can create is limitless. Additionally, those who are called close members in name are, in reality, individuals who can play the role of fellow streamers. It doesn’t feel isolating like here.”
“That, uh…”
“While it’s clear that Sayoh has taken many inspirations from the other platform, I believe that if the circumstances are different, the treatment should be different as well. Ugaidol needs an environment where it can grow as streamers before it becomes an idol.”
– Hmm? Is that so? Still, Sayoh has around 5,000 fixed viewers, so wouldn’t that allow for about five members to become self-sufficient?
– Honestly, I think Seoa made a lot of good points. Pangea TV is based on collaborations, so separating it into an isolated island seems wrong.
– This is a bit difficult, LOL, but it’s not like collaborations are banned forever. Wasn’t it said that we would gradually lift it or implement a permit system based on the situation?
– But that’s a bit harsh. It’s clearly a content format hosted by Sayoh; if you have complaints, feel free to leave.

“Please don’t speak negatively about the streamers. If there’s an issue, I will handle it myself. Any derogatory remarks and criticisms will result in an immediate ban.”
As the chat’s atmosphere began to heat up, she stepped in quickly to suppress it.
While this was happening, the debate continued, and Nuri and Miho also expressed their opinions.
Sayoh felt her mind becoming increasingly muddled.
“The opposers’ opinions aren’t completely wrong. But without looking to the future, how can they be so sure of their opinions? In the end, if a problem arises, I’ll be the one held responsible.”
Sayoh thought.
If she were in a position without responsibility, she could easily speak like Seoa.
– What do you think about Ugaidol’s direction towards YouTube?
“I’ll start with the opposer, Seoa. I’m against it. There’s a saying, ‘Don’t try to run before you can walk.’ If Ugaidol is to be born, I think establishing a solid foundation should be our first priority. Building a core fanbase and developing self-sufficiency must come first before we can afford to look at other matters like YouTube.”
“…….”
Following several more questions and a fierce debate.
After witnessing it all, Sayoh felt a growing sense of pride being wrinkled rather than rational judgment.
In a corner of her mind, she knew.
That there was some merit to the arguments.
But the self she had built as a streamer over the past ten years could not accept it.
“This is just the argument of a streamer who debuted less than two months ago. I’ve been at this for ten years.”
Even if it sounded plausible, there was no evidence that Seoa’s argument was correct.
Ultimately, the last cards could only be revealed at the very end.
And Sayoh trusted her ten years of experience.
“I’ve prepared content for this with such a great resolution.”
Finally, Group F’s pro-con debate came to an end.
Sayoh, unable to reveal her wounded pride, forced a smile.
“I thoroughly enjoyed Group F’s heated debate. Wow, you really must have put in a lot of preparation!”
– Wow! Sayoh is really a big person; this could be uncomfortable content, but she’s so cool about it.
– Honestly, I think there were a lot of very good points made.
– It’s definitely not easy to aim for YouTube; a big hit there would be a real jackpot.
– But if they’re going after YouTube, I think it’s better to have strict control to maintain the idol image.
“Now, lastly, it’s Group D’s turn. Dantz, are you ready?”
“Yes! I’m all set.”
As Dantz’s broadcast began, Sayoh imagined the appearance of Ugaidol with Seoa as a member.
“Considering how strong her opinions are already, will she truly be controllable?”
Of course not.
Sayoh decided to let go of the greed she felt when she first saw Seoa’s broadcast.
Hoping that her wounded pride would be somewhat comforted.
