Streaming Life After Paying Off Debt - Chapter 7
“Ah, that was tough…”
The first broadcast that had never gone according to plan came to an end.
What was left for me was a broken keyboard and mouse, and just 270,000 won.
“How much did I lose from just one broadcast?”
When I calculated the numbers, a headache overwhelmed me. Theoretically, if I did ten broadcasts, the loss would be ten million won.
“Still, it’s not like I gained nothing.”
As much as I lost, I also gained a lot. Although half of it is debt, I got a brand-new computer, and in addition, I received hundreds of thousands of won in donations.
“But the most important thing is the viewers. That alone.”
Despite it being my first broadcast, the viewer count near the end of the stream was a remarkable 50. Of course, the fact that it was a low-end stream didn’t change, but getting 50 viewers on the first broadcast was a monumental achievement in the broadcasting industry, where many streams only get single digits after months of broadcasting.
“Hehe, if I gain 50 more viewers each day, theoretically, I could escape being a low-end streamer in ten days?”
While picturing a bright future, hunger struck me.
“Ah… come to think of it, I haven’t eaten anything.”
The only thing I had consumed since waking up was a cola I bought during the day. Considering that it was already past 1 AM, I had been fasting for almost 12 hours.
“Oh no, what if my br*asts shrink from this…!”
No matter where I touched, there was not a single flab on my body. If I were to lose weight, it was clear where I would lose it from.
“I need to eat something, at least!”
Leaving the messy room filled with computer scraps, I headed to the kitchen.
“Oh, it was empty…”
I opened the refrigerator, but it was still empty. With just 70 won left in my balance, I couldn’t afford to buy food from a convenience store.
“The donation money isn’t in yet… I can’t transfer the balance from my coin wallet for another two days…”
Upon contemplating my current situation, I realized the severity of it.
“Am I really not going to eat anything for two days…?”
I sank down in shock.
“Bye bye, my beautiful br*asts…”
I’ll touch you a lot before you disappear.
“Isn’t there something to eat if I look around?”
After fiddling with my br*asts for ten minutes, unable to endure the rising hunger, I went back to look for food and found ramen and a tuna can in the corner of the pantry.
“See, when you look for it, it comes out!”
As I began to boil water and opened the ramen package, a pungent smell wafted out.
“Ugh, what’s that smell?”
I examined the ramen, suspecting it wasn’t supposed to have such a scent.
“The expiration date isn’t 2024, but 2023…”
‘So this is what a year-old ramen smells like.’
Amidst the mix of curiosity and disbelief, my stomach was once again gripped by hunger.
“Ah, I’m so hungry… It might be a bit past the expiration date, but since I’m boiling it anyway, it shouldn’t matter, right? I read somewhere that the expiration date and consumption date are separate.”
As I added the ramen and the seasoning to the boiling water, the characteristic smell of ramen captured my nose.
“It smells good!”
Just as the fragrant aroma from the seasoning peaked, the ramen was ready.
“Thanks for the meal!”
The saying that hunger is the best seasoning was wrong.
“It’s not tasty…”
On the surface, the ramen boasted a glorious appearance, but the dry texture of the noodles and the faint pungent smell in my mouth hindered my appetite.
“There’s a reason for the expiration date…”
While I was despairing at the disappointing taste of the ramen, my eyes landed on the tuna can.
“If I just add that, it would be savory and delicious…”
However, the tuna can was my reserve for tomorrow. If I ate it now, I would really have to go hungry tomorrow.
“Ah, I don’t care anymore.”
If I was thinking of tomorrow, I wouldn’t have played with coins! Reflecting on myself, I added the tuna can to the ramen. With the savory scent and even more colorful visual, it came into view.
“This is too good to keep to myself.”
I took a picture and accessed the coin gallery.

-What?
-Are you celebrating your birthday?
-What kind of person posts ramen at 2 AM?
-If it failed, go to the park and drink some water.
-Downvote for misleading posts.

“Hehe, idiots.”
As the people’s reactions started to whet my appetite, the savory smell combined with the satisfactory responses made the taste of the ramen even more wonderful.
“Ah, I’m full.”
A happy smile spread across my face. While I continued to browse the gallery, I noticed a post.

Streamer who invested in Udon Coin today
[Miju shooting with a shotgun]
Lost ten million won, hahahaha
-So what?
-This kind of trash coin is speculation, not investment.
-He’ll probably give a big hand to the chairman and make 2,000.
-Seriously, what do you expect?

I found a post that had content about me. Although the comments weren’t friendly, the fact that the post was made was significant to me.
“When my stream had the most viewers, it was still capped at 50, but now the number of people who have seen this post has exceeded 200.”
If just one in ten took an interest, I could expect 20 new viewers. With excitement, I searched to see if there were other posts about me.
-Udon
-Coin
-Crash
I searched with various keywords.

“Isn’t this going to lead to me escaping being a low-end streamer in the next broadcast?”
Even though my name wasn’t mentioned, the excitement was fueled by the numerous videos spreading around. The fact that I was being talked about in an anonymous world where many people gathered brought me immense satisfaction.
“What should I do? Should I open a YouTube channel first?”
Returning to my room, my heart raced as I was welcomed by the shattered pieces of my keyboard.
“Oh… it was all broken, right?”
I swept them to one side, making sure they wouldn’t get stepped on, then threw myself onto the bed. With the warm bed and the satisfying fullness in my stomach, my eyes slowly began to close.
“Everyone wait… Super Rich Miju is coming…”
And so, a tumultuous day came to an end.
– Ding Dong –
I woke up to the sound of the doorbell. The bright sunlight pouring in through the window made it feel like morning.
“What time is it…?”
I reached under my pillow to grab my phone, only to find a clean screen with no notifications showing the time as 2:00.
“2 o’clock… so I’ve slept about 12 hours?”
– Ding Dong Ding Dong –
As my hazy mind slowly returned to reality, the doorbell rang again, prompting me to get up in a hurry.
“Yes, I’ll be right out!”
Once I opened the door, a woman was waiting for me. As she gradually raised her gaze, it became fixed on her prominently sticking-out chest.
“Excuse me, are you Miju Kim?”
“Uh… yes, that’s me.”
“Yes, I’m here to install the computer.”
As I tore my gaze from her voice back to her face, I saw a beauty with long ebony hair. She had large eyes and impressively dark circles under her eyes.
“Surely, there’s a reason why you left it to me to install.”
“Yes?”
“Then excuse me.”
As she spoke while looking at my chest, she began checking out the inside of my house, filling it with a multitude of boxes.
“Is this much luggage really needed?”
“Since it’s a professional broadcasting setup, there’s quite a bit of equipment.”
With a calm tone, she was moving the boxes, and eventually, after moving all the luggage, she turned to me.
“Is this room the location for the setup?”
“Uh, yes! Yes, it is.”
“Um… it’s expected to take about an hour or two, so you might want to go grab a coffee or something.”
That was the last thing she said before she started unboxing. I was standing outside waiting aimlessly to avoid interfering with her work when Jihye appeared on the stairs.
“What’s going on here?”
With round, curious eyes, she looked puzzled. Her cuteness today warmed my heart.
“Ah, a friend is changing my computer. I didn’t expect so much luggage. Did I disturb you?”
I was momentarily captivated by her shaking head, but then a thought struck me.
“Wait, did I even give her my address…?”
“Uh, unnie!”
Pausing for a moment, I looked down only to find Jihye in my arms.
“Can I call you unnie?”
With her face buried in my chest, I felt the urge to pet her. My trembling hand reached towards her head but was barely held back by my conscious mind.
“Of course!”
“I hope you can speak comfortably to me too…”
“Sure, Jihye.”
A happy feeling enveloped my body. I thought to myself that this must be animal therapy.
“Then unnie, shall we go to the cafe together? I’ll treat you.”
Having received help from her at the convenience store yesterday, I felt a pang of guilt for wanting to eat for free again today. While I was about to refuse with a promise to buy later, my stomach growled.
“Hehe, it seems like unnie’s stomach has agreed…!”
Jihye, who was clinging to my body, laughed and continued talking, seemingly having heard the noise too.
“Then… shall we go?”
Unable to resist the rising hunger, I followed Jihye, who was leading the way.
